Sweet & Spicy

I recently had the opportunity to have my good friend Tatiana (I call her "Tats") let me help her clean and organize her closet. She was frustrated because, like most of us, she felt she had too much clothes but nothing to wear.

So we got to making brutal cuts, and among the survivors I found a light green jacket that my friend didn’t know what to pair with. Another familiar problem: you like one piece, but don’t know how to style it.

This post is dedicated to Tats. This is one of the many ways to wear this jacket. In this case, it’s a "pop of color" in an outfit of mostly dark pieces.

With black pants, a navy blue striped t-shirt and silver touches, this jacket becomes the focal point of your outfit.

Other combinations she can try:
·      A white summer dress and flats (or heels, like she ususally prefers)
·      The famous LBD
·      A black and white outfit
·      With other colors like navy blue, white and dark green
·      And even with jeans shorts, a t-shirt and converse, for a very casual look

Of course, we also took the time to enjoy a delicious burger and have some drinks (yes!, that is a jalapeno in my drink) very delicious.

Romper Up

One of the most versatile pieces of clothing for Spring & Summer time is a romper. A very popular piece because it's light and loose fitting, can be easily converted from day to night as well as from casual to formal just by switching your accessories. The one I am wearing is from Mommy & Mia. I wore it with a thin white studded belt from H&M to accentuate my waist.

I found this awesome leather short-sleeve moto jacket at Forever 21. It's white (perfect for this season), and the leather is so light that I can wear it with anything in my closet and under high temperatures. It also gives that little bit of edge to my outfit.

These gladiator sandals from Charlotte Russe pull this outfit together.

Color Me Bad

I love art. It's part of my life, my family and my career, so it's not surprising that I wanted to take some pictures at one of the most artistic places in Miami: Wynwood.

Art and fashion are major elements of Wynwood. The Wynwood Walls, where these shots were taken, is an outdoor mural exhibit featuring some of the world’s most renowned street artists. The area is full of art galleries, restaurants and bars, making it the perfect place to have a night on the town.

Because of the free creative spirit that this place inspires, I decided to get a little daring and wear something that I wouldn’t normally wear. This striped bodycon dress was calling my daredevil name, and I paired it with a white blazer (perfect for Spring/Summer) and some black and gold accessories. The blazer also gives the option of staying conservative and classic during the day or bold and sexy at night without it.

The white blazer is from Zara, the dress is from Forever 21 and my shoes are Steve Madden for Shoemint.

Locked Out of Heaven

I have a confession to make, only a few things make me feel as feminine and sexy as this beautiful emerald green lace skirt did. As soon as I tried it on I started to feel like I belong in another era and immediately fell into character. I wore it with a very cool and unique T-shirt, from Down and Dirty Ethics (D.A.D.E), for a little bit of contrast; a statement necklace and studded pumps for a hint of edge.

Style tip: A statement necklace can take your outfit from conservative to avant-garde in seconds.

This beautiful skirt is from Zara and my shoes are from Charlotte Russe.
