Colorblocking

Ok, let’s talk about color blocking. As a girl that prefers to wear dark colors - most of my clothes are black - color blocking is the easiest way to bring some color to my outfits in a more creative way.

There are different ways to color blocking. One of them is to combine no more than 3 colors into one outfit, just like I did in these pictures.

More combinations:

Hue on Hue
Go for bold and wear similar hue on hue on hue. Pick a shade and wear it head to toe in differing tones.

Mix In A Print
Neon and citrus colors are the perfect sparring partners for patterns. Pick a graphic motif and build your outfit around it. Just keep accessories neutral.

Clash For Maximum Impact
Pairing an orange silk blouse and a hot-pink jacket? wear them together with an earth tone piece. Is the perfect neutral shade to ground the brighter hues — and allow them to pop.

Play With Pastels
Toughen up pale, powdery hues by teaming them with dark wintery shades.

The beauty of giving thanks

Even though I'm from a country where Thanksgiving is not celebrated, as a girl that have been living in the US for almost 10 years (wow, almost a decade already!) I have adopted this very special holiday.

I believe that we should take a time everyday to be thankful for everything we have in our lives and that what makes Thanksgiving even more special is that we get the chance to do so while been with our families and friends.

And as important as it is this season to give thanks, prepare the feast and get together with your loved ones, it's important to know what to wear for this special occasion. Here are some outfit combinations, to make this important task a lot more easier for you.

 1. Lady-like blouse + jeans + high heels + simple coat

The attire for a Thanksgiving dinner is slightly less dressy than what you'll wear for Christmas, so it's a perfect time to wear your jeans while having some family time.

 2. A simple top + interesting skirt + cute flats

This outfit would be great if you are the host of this celebration. The flats will help you be comfortable all day.

3. A simple jumpsuit

Jumpsuits will always be one of my favorite options, very comfortable for when you have to get on the floor to play with the little ones.

4. Light long dress + ankle boots + leather jacket

It's flirty and chic enough to be around your loved ones, specially your +1. This also looks great on a pregnant woman, just wear shoes that you feel more comfortable in.

5. short sleeves sweater + comfy pants + ankle boots

This outfit can be comfortable enough to stay up all night for Black Friday!

6. A simple short dress + dressy flats

You can still be sexy around your family with a short dress, just try a long sleeve version with very cute flats to tone it down.

At the end been surrounded by friends, family and loved ones is the most comfortable feeling you could ever have, and there's no style for that.

Be happy, be thankful.
