Holiday Outfit Ideas

Holiday Season is upon us and here are some of my favorite outfit ideas, by trend, so you can be the most amazing looking girl at the party.

 Trend: Jewel Tones
Emerald seems to be 2013's Color of the Year and I decided to wear this dress by H&M and my shoes from Shoemint for my office Christmas party.

No matter what you choose to wear during this holiday season, remember that the best outfit is to be confident in your own skin and know that you are beautiful.

Art Basel Virgin

It was my first time at Art Basel and I have to say that it was so much fun. As I was waiting for the doors to open I notice the people around me, most of them looked very refined (some looked like I don't know what they were thinking), but soon I started to feel like I belonged to the art world. Here are some of my inside notes on different topics:

 Fashion
As a fashion blogger, I was very excited to see what everyone will be wearing to Art Basel. I was expecting a lot of cool items, very trendy pieces and lots of stylish people. I was surprised that most of the people were very well dressed but nothing as "creative" as I expected. I did capture a very stylish girl, but in general I was not so impressed.

 Design Miami
My first stop was at Design Miami. Galleries were invited to exhibit exceptional design objects from the advent of modernism to the present day. Very unconventional pieces, unique styles and inspirational forms it's what I found at this exhibition.

 Art Basel – Convention Center
The first thing that came to my mind once I entered Art Basel was that I was entering a big giant museum. I felt a little bit overwhelmed, sometimes because I didn't know where to start and other times because I didn't know what I was supposed to do. But then I started walking around and started to see pieces that caught my attention… in a good way. Most of the exhibitions were outrageous and didn't look like "art" at all to me, but in general I found very inspiring pieces.

It was a little bit funny for me to look at people contemplating these pieces of art and trying to explain to themselves and to everyone the powerful meaning behind each piece.

In general it was a great experience. It was nice to see what it's going on inside the minds of very creative people and see their imagination come to life. I definitely want to go next year, again.
