Yes! it's me wearing a skirt!

I have to be honest, I don't wear skirts very often and it is not because I don't like it, but because it is so much easier for me to wear pants (Jeans) everyday; but every time I do wear skirts I feel super girly and sexy, specially if it's a pleated skirt like this one. I love the way it moves and it makes me want to have fun with it. It is so versatile and you can wear it for day to night by changing only a few accessories.

The Cropped Top

It's summer and one of the trends I've been seen everywhere is the cropped top. To be honest, I really like this trend, but I don't like to show off my mid-section (unless I have abs of steel, which I'm working on getting) but until then I found a solution that works for me and it's to wear it with a high waist pant.

I'm also in love with this color combination of blue, green and touches of yellow.

Day to Night: Leather pants

 I recently started using this page called Polyvore.com and I'm obsessed with it. In here you can create an infinity of style ideas, and I decided to create a day to night board using the leather pants as the must have item.


I know what you are thinking, it's summer time and leather pants are too hot... but wait, leather pants have become a must have piece that can be wore all seasons; just like your favorite pair of jeans. Just try to choose a leather fabric that better suits your lifestyle and the weather where you live.


I really don't own any leather pants but I'll be buying them very soon. They are sexy and you can dress them up for a date night or down to run errands just like I did on this board.

Spider-Bag

I really like when I find pieces in my closet that I love but haven't used in a long time, like this bag. 

I call it the Spider-Bag, because the black stripes remind me of a spider web. I bought it a long time ago, is from Sisley by Benetton.

Myth: the color of your shoes, belt and bag needs to match.

True: Not necessarily. As long as your outfit is in the same color palette, you don't have to match the color of your accessories. 

But by wearing a pair of shoes that matches the color of your pants, your legs will look longer making you look taller.

Her look, my way: Olivia Wilde

 

One of the reasons that I buy magazines (I actually collect them) is to get inspired.

 I found this picture of Olivia Wilde wearing this black, pink and gray outfit. 

Soon I found pieces in my closet that will help me recreate this look (I love my new blazer!). 

I made it my own by wearing a striped black and gray top instead of a gray one.

Must have: Pastels!

 

 Pastels are the must have colors right now. I've been seeing this trend all over the magazines. I found this blazer in Forever21 and I think that it's a great option for summer. Let's give the black blazer a break for now! The top is so light; it's perfect for wearing it underneath the blazer during these hot days, and it matches it!

 

I decided to wear it with my new cobalt blue pants since it makes the jacket and the top stand out more. The necklace was made by me a long time ago from rough stones called rhodonite.

The bag, which I love, is also from Forever21.

My favorite colors

Red, white and black are my favorite colors and when I found this shirt in Forever21 I fell in love with it. It's soft and comfortable, and I can wear it with almost any piece I have in my closet.

 

I'm also wearing my favorite red pants from Zara and my studded black pumps from Charlotte Russe.
