I know we are in Autumn, but here in Miami the sun is still shining and the air is still hot, so that inspires me to wear bright colors for a quick exit to the mall. I love this combination of primary colors. I consider myself a lover of neutral, but will try more combinations like this.

Inspiration

I love collecting fashion magazines (I have more than 100 at this time, my boyfriend wants to kill me every time I buy one). He says that I have too many but it's never enough for me. 

I like to buy them and sit and read early in the morning (on the weekends, of course) with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a blanket. I also read them wearing very cute outfits and awesome shoes! just like on this pictures : )

Magazines are a great source of inspiration for me, from the fashion which helps me to put together cute and unique outfits to the photography in the ads.

This is what I wore last weekend while I was looking for new inspirations. 

This boyfriend jeans are my favorite. I can lay down on the floor and move around while feeling comfortable, the long sleeves sweater keeps me warm and the shoes are amazing, they make me feel chic and sexy.

Salvador Dali, one of my favorite artists, once said: "Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing" . I've found that sometimes is good to look for inspirational outfits that can help you wear the pieces from your closet in a different way. This is a good example of me pairing my camel trench coat with my red pants. I added my touch of stripes on the shoes and the scarf... I love this look. It's perfect for running errands during the raining weekends.

it's all in the bag!

I was going with my boyfriend to Cheesecake Factory for lunch (yummy!) and I decided to take my pictures in this beautiful small park close to my house. This is one of the things that I like about living in FL, you can find a lake or a park anywhere. This one in particular with the bridge is very romantic.

The first time I saw this bag I new I have to buy it! it's fun, big enough and it's the perfect piece for my solid color outfits

I was so happy to see how the jeans I was wearing match my denim shoes, it's almost like it was made with the same fabric! I have read in magazine that matching denim shoes with denim clothes is not right, but I give it a try and I do love how it looks.

Fall is here!

 

 

Fall is one of my favorite seasons and it's finally here! and while I'm still shopping for this fall must-have pieces: structured bags, leather jackets, boots, southwestern prints... (I can't wait for you to see them). I went out the first day of Fall wearing this top that has all of the season's colors along with some of my favorite pieces that you have seen before.

road trip!... NYC

Where do I start... I LOVE NYC! It's one of my favorite cities. I love the cool vibe, the noisy streets, the beautiful view of the buildings and, of course, the fashion!

Every people in NYC dresses the way they want and that have always inspired me.

Makes me think of Frank Sinatra when he said: “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere” I'll use  this phrase as" if I can wear this here, I’ll wear it anywhere!

 

 

We didn't stayed to long here and beside the fact that it was raining most of the days, I could enjoy the simple things that the city had to offer.

road trip!... Abingdon, VA (part 2)

I was fascinated with everything in Abingdon... the food so fresh, the rich flavor of the coffee, the views of the mountains, the hidden treasure pieces of art (like this table from the coffee shop with Marilyn Monroe!)... but mostly, the people.

The people in Abingdon were very nice and with their own sense of style. Even though I looked like I was clearly not from around there, I could tell by the way they were looking at me, they liked my outfits. Lovely!

road trip!... Abingdon, VA (part 1)

During our road trip to NYC (from FL) we stopped at Abingdon, VA and I was immediately in love with the beauty of the mountains, the antique houses, the history and all the nature surrounding us.

I went to visit the neighborhood in some of my favorite pieces, in a color that is a must-have for this fall: BOLD RED! This hue pops on clothes, shoes and bags and it looks perfect when you mix different shades together or add neutrals.

a walk in the park

I love simple pieces with something that makes it special, like the puffed sleeves of this top, the tweed jacket and the bag in a half-moon shape. I decided to add another strong color to the outfit, with the red flats, to make it more interesting.
