Holiday Outfit Ideas

Holiday Season is upon us and here are some of my favorite outfit ideas, by trend, so you can be the most amazing looking girl at the party.

 Trend: Jewel Tones
Emerald seems to be 2013's Color of the Year and I decided to wear this dress by H&M and my shoes from Shoemint for my office Christmas party.

No matter what you choose to wear during this holiday season, remember that the best outfit is to be confident in your own skin and know that you are beautiful.

Art Basel Virgin

It was my first time at Art Basel and I have to say that it was so much fun. As I was waiting for the doors to open I notice the people around me, most of them looked very refined (some looked like I don't know what they were thinking), but soon I started to feel like I belonged to the art world. Here are some of my inside notes on different topics:

 Fashion
As a fashion blogger, I was very excited to see what everyone will be wearing to Art Basel. I was expecting a lot of cool items, very trendy pieces and lots of stylish people. I was surprised that most of the people were very well dressed but nothing as "creative" as I expected. I did capture a very stylish girl, but in general I was not so impressed.

 Design Miami
My first stop was at Design Miami. Galleries were invited to exhibit exceptional design objects from the advent of modernism to the present day. Very unconventional pieces, unique styles and inspirational forms it's what I found at this exhibition.

 Art Basel – Convention Center
The first thing that came to my mind once I entered Art Basel was that I was entering a big giant museum. I felt a little bit overwhelmed, sometimes because I didn't know where to start and other times because I didn't know what I was supposed to do. But then I started walking around and started to see pieces that caught my attention… in a good way. Most of the exhibitions were outrageous and didn't look like "art" at all to me, but in general I found very inspiring pieces.

It was a little bit funny for me to look at people contemplating these pieces of art and trying to explain to themselves and to everyone the powerful meaning behind each piece.

In general it was a great experience. It was nice to see what it's going on inside the minds of very creative people and see their imagination come to life. I definitely want to go next year, again.

Day to Night: Leather top

For Day

For Night

I love anything leather: boots, jackets, bags, pants, accessories... anything. Leather is also very trendy this Fall. I've been looking for a leather top that I could wear for the Miami weather and I was very excited to have found it in The Limited. It is very light, comfortable and easy to put it on (it has a zipper in the back).

I would wear this top for day, as I show in the first pictures, with skinny jeans and must have pieces like the leopard belt and black pointy pumps.

For night I would love to wear it with a mini skirt, a statement necklace and studded pumps.

I think every girl should own a leather top. It's very versatile, it gives you an edgy look and you can dress it up or down.

So tell me, do you like the leather top? would you wear it during the day?

Spring 2013 - Favorite Looks

I've been having a lot of fun "pinning" my favorite outfits from the Spring 2013 Redy-to-Wear runway shows. There are so many new trends and outfits ideas to try that I can't wait for Spring 2013 to arrive. In the meantime, I have put together my favorite outfits from 5 of my favorite designers. Their collections are spectacular and I would love to have all these pieces in my closet.

What happens in Vegas: Final part

My trip to Las Vegas was a great experience, I'm very happy that I got the chance to see more of this beautiful city than just the strip, the bars and shows. There's so much more to do that a couple of days is not enough. For the rest of my trip I went hiking at 10,000 feet, at the Mary Jane Falls trails and to Lake Mead for a swim.

What happens in Vegas - Day 2

For my second day in Las Vegas, we decided to go to Hoover Dam. We expected to be there just for a couple of hours but between the Dam tour, the museum and the endless and amazing views we stayed for almost the entire day.

I can't even describe you how spectacular this place is. It's one of the most amazing and impressive man-made structures I have seen in my life.

Fact: Hoover Dam was built between 1931-1936 in only 5 years, without the technology and techniques that we have now. The bypass behind me on the picture below that connects Nevada with Arizona, was built in 2010 and it took us 7 years, just to do this bridge.

We also went tot Lake Mead located at the top of Hoover Dam. The view from there is just beautiful.

What happens in Vegas - Day 1

I'm so happy to be back on my blog! Sorry for been away for so long, but I was recently on vacation in Las Vegas, NV. Here are some pics of my trip, these are from the first day.
I went for a very casual and relaxed look since it was very hot outside.

On my first day in Las Vegas I had my new tattoos done, I went to the strip and even played at the casino... I lost a dollar. Hey, I have a purpose for my money and it's not to waist it in Vegas
( I need a new wardrobe). We also went to some restaurants and bars.
